I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper;
the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The LORD will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
Psalm 121 ESV

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:4-7 ESV
And as Jesus reclined at table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Jesus and his disciples. And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Matthew 9:10-13 ESV
Yesterday morning I had an opportunity to provide pulpit supply for Community CRC in Saginaw. I was grateful for the opportunity to spend some time with their church family and share from Philippians 2.
I recently had the opportunity to provide pulpit supply for Our Redeemer Evangelical Free Church here in Midland. I truly enjoyed our visit with their church family. It was wonderful to see so many friends and familiar faces.
Our Redeemer is working their way through the Gospel of Mark over the summer and I was able to share from chapter 7. The title of my sermon was The Traditions of Men and the Commandment of God. Here is a link to the outline.
